However, these aren't the 7nm Zen 2 monsters that we've been talking about in recent weeks. Instead, the leaks pertain to upcoming Picasso APUs that pair 12nm FinFET Raven Ridge CPU architecture with Vega GPUs.

Contest rules state that the sponsor will verify that the person didn't use smartphones or tablets, or even touch them, during the year and the contestant will be given a lie detector test.
The only guaranteed grand prize to the contestant is a 1996-era cellular phone that can be used for communication during the contest and the monthly phone plan it requires. As the name suggests, it comes with the company's revamped S Pen stylus, and of course there is a keyboard attached, the latter of which is not always a given in the 2-in-1 space (we're looking at you, Microsoft Surface Pro).
As with the 2018 model, the S Pen conveniently slides into the base of the 2019 version so that it's easier to keep track of. However, it's not the same S Pen as before—Samsung said it reduced the latency on the gold-colored S Pen by up to 2x from the previous model, and that it now reacts as soon as it makes contact with the touchscreen display, "as if putting an actual pen to paper."There are two versions of the Notebook 9 Pen—one with a 13.3-inch Full HD display with integrated graphics, and another more powerful variant with a 15-inch Full HD display powered by a discrete NVIDIA GeForce MX150 (2GB) GPU.
Both models sport an 8th generation Intel Core processor, LPDDR3 memory, and NVMe solid state storage (Samsung hasn't announced specific capacities for RAM and storage yet). Other features include a backlit keyboard, an HD IR camera, facial and fingerprint recognition, and 802.11ac Wi-Fi connectivity. External ports consist of two Thunderbolt 3 ports, a USB-C port, headphone/microphone combo jack, and a microSD card slot.Samsung is promising improved battery life with its 2019 models, and specifically claiming the 54Whr battery is capable of driving the Notebook 9 Pen for up to 15 hours, with fast charging support to boot.
The new Notebook 9 Pen models will be available in 2019, with Samsung likely to show them off at the Consumer Electronics Show next month.
The performance numbers look promising, if they are legitimate. According to the leaked data, the mobile GeForce GTX 2060 GPU scores higher than a mobile GeForce GTX 1070 Max-Q, though lower than the regular variant.One of the laptops we saw in action, a reference device for Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8cx Compute Platform, was powering a pair of 4K displays over Type-C to HDMI. At the same time, the laptop was driving its own Full HD display. It was running multiple applications, including PowerPoint, Excel, and Microsoft's Edge browser.The whole shebang was connected via LTE on Verizon's network. At the same time, the laptop was logged into a Norton VPN with an IP address based in San Francisco. On top of it all, the laptop was also running a Horizon Cloud client that's been ported to Windows on ARM. At the 2m15s mark in the video above, you can see the laptop running a VM in the cloud over Verizon LTE at a resort in Maui, through a VPN with an IP based in San Francisco. Impressive stuff.
In a separate demo on a different reference laptop, we saw the Snapdragon 8cx Compute Platform powering Mozilla's Firefox browser with 10 tabs open, and also Chrome with a handful of tabs. It was able to seamlessly cycle through them without any lag. That's not groundbreaking stuff, of course, but the point is that these Windows on ARM systems can function like an Intel x86 system in certain situations.The system was also running Adobe Lightroom with 122 photographs loaded. Midway through the demo, Qualcomm opened up Photoshop. Both Lightroom and Photoshop run in 32-bit emulation on the platform, though at a glance, it's hard to tell that they're not running natively.It's too early to make any kind of determination about the new platform, though from what we saw, the Snapdragon 8cx is a worthy successor. It's also the first 7-nanometer platform in a PC, a bragging point that Qualcomm is quick to point out.
